An ambition of mine is to pass on my love of mathematics and statistics to those around me. My son loves Maths and considers maths as puzzles. He will ask me for some 'sums' to do while waiting for a meal in a restaurant or if he's bored. With home schooling during the pandemic and talking to other parents about their difficulties, helping children and young people to loves Maths is a passion of mine. So, whether you are a postgraduate student needing advice regarding your dissertation, the parent of a primary school child who needs a bit help with their homework or anything in between, please get in touch to discuss how I can help.

For school children, I am a big fan of the Maths mastery system and whether your child is struggling with the basics at primary school or more sophisticated secondary school mathematics and statistics, I'd be happy to help with 1-1 online tutoring online or face to face sessions in South Oxfordshire, UK.

For primary children in KS1 or KS2, my approach is to support the child or young person with homework set by their class teacher and looking at similar problems to work through together or working on the building blocks needed to understand the logic. When your child is ready to move on they will start to do this when exposed to the next challenge. We will approach it in a way you can't stop them from learning.

In KS3 we will start looking at the national curriculum and discuss any gaps in current knowledge. I will provide tuition tailored to those gaps in understanding and mathematical methods.

For GCSE and beyond, you choose the style. I can take a student lead approach where I can support learning, revise the building blocks needed to understand challenging concepts, provide additional practice questions or look at brand new new topics. I will tailor the tuition to the students strengths and weaknesses.

Being a member of the neurodivergent community and with a young autistic child, I have much empathy for individual needs and I offer a free 'get to know you session' where a child has SEN.
